We will be accepting pre-orders for our 2.5 tog sleeping bags during August 2018! Set out below are frequently asked questions about sleeping bag pre-orders. Please read them carefully before placing your order.
When will I receive my pre-ordered sleeping bag?
We expect to receive our first shipment of sleeping bags at Hipsleepers HQ between 10 – 17 September 2018. We will be shipping sleeping bag pre-orders within 1 business day of our receiving the shipment and then usual delivery times will apply (2-10 business days within Australia and 5 – 15 business days outside of Australia). Information about express shipping is set out further below.
Why should I pre-order?
There are two great reasons to pre-order your sleeping bag:
1. You’ll receive your sleeping bag sooner! This is because we will be receiving our sleeping bags from our manufacturer in two separate shipments. We will receive a small shipment in September but the bulk will arrive 4 – 6 weeks later. If you do not pre-order your sleeping bag you may have to wait for the second shipment which means you could be waiting until late October – early November for your sleeping bag to arrive. Please note, we will be closing off pre-orders when our entire initial shipment is sold – the sooner you order, the better.
2. You’ll go in the draw to WIN a great prize! When you pre-order a sleeping bag you go in the draw to win a gorgeous, handmade cot quilt (pictured above) made with love by talented quilter and Hipsleepers co-founder, Kathy Lee and your MONEY BACK!! The winner will be drawn and notified on 17 September 2018 and the quilt will be included in the winner’s sleeping bag shipment. The winner will receive a refund of their sleeping bag purchase price up to the value of $70.62.
What if I order other products from Hipsleepers at the same time as my sleeping bag pre-order?
If you order other “in stock” products from Hipsleepers at the same time as a sleeping bag pre-order, we will dispatch the “in stock” items within 1 – 2 business days of your order, as usual.
By September, Winter will be finished in Australia. Do I still need a 2.5 tog sleeping bag?
It depends on where you live! 2.5 tog sleeping bags are recommended for babies rooms with temperatures between 16 – 20 degrees Celsius. Some parts of Australia have overnight temperatures within this range all year round.
Will you have Summer weight sleeping bags available for pre-order?
Unfortunately we will not have Summer weight sleeping bags available for pre-order in August but this is something we are looking at producing in the near future.
The length of my baby’s treatment is unknown. Is it worth it if treatment will only be for a few more weeks/months?
You might find that your baby prefers to sleep in the froggy position even after their treatment comes to an end so, yes, it is worth it!
If you no longer require the specialty sleeping bag after your baby’s treatment comes to an end we encourage you to sell/gift it second-hand to other families in the hip dysplasia community.
Can I get express shipping on my sleeping bag?
If you would like your sleeping bag shipped to you by express, simply write “express shipping please” in the comments section on our checkout page and we will contact you with an express shipping quote and delivery estimate closer to the shipment date. You can decide at that time whether you would like to pay the express shipping fee or stick with regular shipping. This applies to both Australian and international orders.
What if the sleeping bags are delayed and you cannot ship them by 18 September 2018?
We will contact you during the week of 10 – 17 September with an update on your order and, if there is going to be any kind of delay, we will give you the option to cancel your order for a full refund if you do not wish to wait any longer.
